Overnight Guest Registration

Eta Gamma of Chi Omega House Corporation
Overnight Guest Policy

The following policy applies to all non-residents of the Chi Omega House at the University of South Carolina. There is no distinction made between Chapter members as overnight guests and non-Chi Omegas as overnight guests.

Policy

A resident seeking to host an overnight guest (the guest) must complete a form provided by the House Director requesting permission to do so no later than 24 hours in advance of the guest’s arrival.  The more notice that is provided the better.

The resident’s roommate must be in agreement with the presence of a guest in the room.  Her signature must be on the form and the House Director will confirm with the roommate her agreement to the request.  If there is no roommate, the House Director must be in agreement with the request.

A guest may stay in the House for no more than two (2) consecutive nights.

There may be no more than four (4) guests staying at the House on any given night.  Guest lists are on a first approved basis.

A resident is allowed to have a maximum of six (6) guest nights total per semester.

Hosting guests during football season is strongly discouraged and there may be no guests staying at the House during the weekends when there are home games of University of South Carolina versus University of Georgia or versus Clemson University.  In addition, no guests are allowed the weekend of the Carolina Cup.

If a guest is eating at the House and not on the Eta Gamma Meal Plan, she must follow the Guest Meal Policy.

If a resident violates any of the terms of this policy, she will lose all guest privileges for the remainder of the academic year.

Per Overnight Guest Policy, four guests may stay at the Chi Omega House at any given time. Approval is on a first-come, first-served basis.

To request guest privileges, please contact House Mom, Cynthia Newman, to make arrangements.
